County Sligo GC is just minutes away from the tourist town of Sligo in the heart of the NW Ireland region. The course starts out as a sleeper with only a couple holes in view from the clubhouse set against the backdrop of Sligo Bay. Then it changes as you teter over the edge and play towards the North coast and the barren peninsula beneath and in front of you. Wind and pot bunkers are previlent as you play along the dunes and the coast. A rollercoaster ride not for the meek and mild, especially if you want to play to your handicap, but you'll be back for another round before you know it.
