San Diego has so much to offer with it's many theme and adventure parks, incredible dining, harbour activities, shopping and much more that making room for wonderful golf can be tough. But DO make the time. Most of the courses are hilly and are wedged through the canyons and around small mountains that are very unique to this region. Each are in great condition year round, as mild temperatures afford this area the enjoyment of not having the hot desert heat. Mild, cool air off the Pacific Ocean makes it perfect for mid-winter golf, with the locals preferring spring and summer golf, so most courses are open for visitors with special ‘off season rates.' The northern suburbs of Temecula, Rancho Bernardo, Torrey Pines, La Jolla and Carlsbad are home to classic, big name designs that fit all skill levels and budgets.
