A classic Nicklaus design in the countryside of Eastern Algarve, 45 minutes from Vilamoura. Monte Rei has been winning accolades since it opened in 2007 and is now regarded as one the top layouts in Europe. The staff and service in addition to design, are Top Notch, similar to many US Resort facilities. It weaves its way through small valleys with alot of elevation changes, but all trouble on each hole is found right in front of you. As with all Nicklaus designs, ball control is a priority. Well worth the fees and distance.
